INDIAN FOOD SYSTEM: -
The Indian food system is the way which way the food is grow, made, sold, and eat in India. The food starts from the farmer. Farmers grow the crops in their fields using the soil, water, sunlight, and seeds. The farmers grow rice, wheat, maize, pulses, different-different types of the vegetables, different-different types of the fruits, and different-different spices. Some of the farmers also keep the cows, the buffaloes, the goats, and the hens. These animals give us milk, eggs, and meat. After growing the crops, the farmers are fully taking care of their crops. Then the different-different types of the vegetables, the different-different types of the fruits are sent in the markets and in the mandis. Traders buy the food items from the farmers. After that the food go to the shops, the stores, and in the big markets. Some of the food items is also sent in the different-different factories to be cleaned, packed, and processed the food items. Rice is cleaned and packed. Wheat is made in the flour. Milk is made into the curd, butter, and the paneer. Then this food reached in our homes. We buy the food items from the local shops, weekly markets, and in the supermarkets, and from the online apps. Lot of the people in India also buy the food items from the street vendors. At home the food items are cooked in the kitchen. People use very simple methods like boiling, steaming, roasting, and frying to make the different-different types of the food items. Indian food items have many types of the food items.
The North Indian food, The South Indian food, The East Indian food, and The West Indian food are all the different-different food items. Lot of the People eat roti, rice, dal, sabzi, curd, fruits, and sweets. Many people eat the vegetarian food items. Some of the people eat the non-vegetarian food like fish, chicken, and eggs. The Indian government also helps in the food system. The government give us the seeds, water, and support to the farmers. Poor families get the rice, wheat, and sugar at the low prices. The Indian food system is very important. The Indian food system gives the food to crores of the people in the world. The indian food system gives work to the farmers, the shopkeepers, the drivers, and the workers. But there are also some problems. Sometimes the food is wasted. Sometimes farmers do not get food in the good prices. Some people do not get enough food. So, we should respect the food items and the farmers. We should not waste the food. We should eat healthy food every day in our life. A strong food system helps the India to grow very strong and very happy.
TYPES OF INDIAN FOOD SYSTEM: -
1. Farming System (Production System): - This is the first type of the Indian food system. Farmers grow the different-different food in their fields. The farmers grow rice, wheat, vegetables, fruits, and pulses. The farmers also produce the milk, eggs, and meat. This system gives us the whole and natural food.
2. Traditional Food System: - In this system the food is grow and cooked in the very simple ways. Farmers use the natural methods to grow the different-different food items to eat. People cook the food in their homes. The people use fresh vegetables and grains to cook the food. This system is very healthy and very old.
3. Local Food System: - In this system the food is sold near the place where the food is grown. Farmers sell the food in the village markets and in the weekly markets. People buy the fresh food. It saves the money and too much time.
4. Market Food System (Trading System): - In this system the food is sold in the big markets. Traders are buying the food from the farmers. Then the traders sell the food items in the shops and in the stores. This helps the food items reach in the many places.
5. Processing Food System: - In this system the food is cleaned, packed, and change in the different-different factories. Wheat become in the flour. Milk become in the butter and in the paneer. Rice is packed in the bags. This helps the food items last longer.
The Indian food system is very important. The Indian food system gives the food to crores of the people in the world. The indian food system gives work to the farmers, the shopkeepers, the drivers, and the workers. But there are also some problems. Sometimes the food is wasted. Sometimes farmers do not get food in the good prices. Some people do not get enough food. So, we should respect the food items and the farmers. We should not waste the food.
